A Georgian-era house later altered with Victorian windows and twentieth-century entrance changes; associated with civic leader Shubael Abbe and Dr. Chester Hunt.

Additional context

The c. 1765 house was built for Shubael Abbe, a Yale graduate and Windham civic leader. Dr. Chester Hunt later acquired the property, linking the house directly to the small medical office now preserved beside the library.
