A lawyer, militia officer, and prominent Connecticut patriot whose Windham home survives on North Road.

Additional context

Jedediah Elderkin was one of eastern Connecticut’s leading eighteenth-century lawyers and a close associate of Eliphalet Dyer. During the Revolution he served on Connecticut’s Council of Safety and as colonel of the Fifth Regiment.
