Samuel Huntington, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and Connecticut statesman, lived in an area that is now Scotland but was historically part of Windham.

Additional context

Samuel Huntington was born in the part of old Windham that later became Scotland. He signed the Declaration of Independence, presided over the Continental Congress and later served as governor of Connecticut.
